Keep On Keepin On

It's March. And winter has come in like a lion. I couldn't make the last meeting, but everyone else did, and it was business as usual. The tractor pulls have been taken care of, as well as some other entertainment. It shouldn't be long before the information is posted on the website. Were moving along pretty good now, at first we were behind. The book is going to be published by the herald, and I am extremely confident that it is going to be a HUGE success by having it in the newspaper this year. Well, I just wanted to give an update, I have to go study now.

Spring Cleaning

Not really spring cleaning, but I started to clean out my fair bag for the convention. And I cant believe i have accumulated a large amount of stuff in my bag. Next week, or so, we will be down at convention. I cant wait - i love everything about the convention. The drive, the lodge, meeting everyone, and realizing that we are not the only fair with problems. I cant believe that it is January ALREADY! This year will mark our 3rd fair as a young crew. I cant believe it, and it has been nothing short of fun. This year we're up for some challenges, however, we will be able to make it. We have a few projects that NEED to get started someday, however, we need to make enough money to start them. New electrical boxes, poles, and lights are part of our plan, and someday, hopefully for our 40th anniversary, we can have all of these improvements comleted. I have to go now, i have a lot to get started on.

Fair Week

It's fair week! Everything is going good, and the weather has been good to us also. Although it has sprinkeled every once in a while, it was nothing much. Lets hope the rest of the week works out the same. I hope everyone has enjoyed this years fair so far. The redneck games were a complete success last night, and the crowd loved it. Next year we will definately have to continue this fun event. Also, another good sign is the attendance, and the dinners in the township dining hall - they run from 4:30 - 7:30, and they have sold out way before closing time every night. Next year we will definately have to increase our numbers.

Well, thats all for now, i have to do some running.

Tick Tock...

Its getting so close to the fair! Books are done, after a long process, and the orders are being placed for everything. The website has been getting lots of hits everyday, and thats exciting! I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the 37th Annual Fair. This year we're switching some things up, and we hope you will like it. Got to go for now, have some calls to make.

The Excitement Begins

Its only 19 days from the fair. Theres still some small cleaning and work to be done, but we'll get it done soon. Before we know it we'll be smelling hot sausages, home made french fries, and hearing the trucks on the track. See you there!!!

Oh Geez.

Well, after weeks and weeks of waiting, I finally recieved a call from our printer. Well, it ended up that they didnt do any corrections to our books, and now they need to go redo the thing. It always ends up like this. So if the books are late this year. Thats why.

Less than 100 Days!

"A committee is a group that keeps minutes and loses hours."
-Milton Berle

How true. I can't believe it, it seems as if the 2006 fair was yesterday. The counter on our website says 76 days until the 2007 fair. What a wake up call! Theres a lot that still has to be done, but it shouldnt take much. That little counter on the website is my motivation. It just keeps saying "You better get that done...." I cannot believe, 2 years has gone so fast, this summer will be the "new board"'s second fair. WOW! I know, none of us can believe it. Time flies when youre having fun. We've had fun, but not all of it has been fun. One thing I wish I could do is if everyone outside of the fair association (i.e. the spectators, and guests), could see all of the months of work that goes on behind the scenes. None of them have any idea what work goes into this operation. And to think, were a small fair!

Books are to be proofed soon, so hopefully that will be soon. Then it will be time to distribute them. yay. (can you sense the sarcasim?)

well im off to bed, schools all done, i dont have anything planned until memorial day, and then the fair will be here before we know it. :)
