"Going away is always nice...Coming home is always better."

I cant agree with that statement enough! Theres nothing like being home.

Hershey was AWESOME! Eric and I met a lot of people from other fairs, and it was also informational. There were so many people that we met. But one sticks out. Janet from Harmony Grange Fair. It was kinda funny, it didnt matter where I seemed to be, every time I turned around, SHE WAS THERE! It was the same way at the zone meetings too! After we started talking, they seem like a fun crew of people. Valerie from ..... I dont remember where shes from right now, but she was a BIG help in sorting out some vendor/sponsor information. She knows her stuff, that was a blessing after the sponsorship round table disaster.
There was Leonard, Pat, Elizabeth, and ..... too many to remember that Eric had introduced me to from the Lawrence County Fair. They were fun too.
I really enjoyed getting out, and meeting the people who were as devoted to their fair as we are. It means alot to hear positive things from other "fair people". It was also nice to go out, talk with other fairs, and realize that - and i couldnt believe this - THEY HAVE PROBLEMS TOO!!!!!! Here I thought we were the only ones who had issues with such little things!!!! Boy, am I ever glad to hear that the things we are worried about, are 100 times less complicated than some other peoples. In all, i would reccomend that ANYONE in the fair industry visit the convention, as you will learn, meet, build friendships, relax, and enjoy yourself - more than you ever thought you would.

I didnt get to visit chocolate world, but thats OK, i wanted to get home. I didnt have NEARLY as much coffee in me as i did the day before. Otheriwse, i might have had that extra energy to make another sop for a while. (At least I didnt fall asleep in the seminar like barb did!)
Well, i got to go, im tired, hungry, and i need to rest.
